Purdue University Northwest's dual license program in elementary education and special needs equips you with knowledge of instructional approaches, classroom strategies, and contemporary educational challenges. Through hands-on experiences and specialized coursework, you'll develop skills to address the evolving demands of modern classrooms. The special needs track combines general education requirements with core classes from the College of Humanities, Education, and Social Sciences, alongside focused education courses. These specialized classes concentrate on learning processes and teaching methods for both mainstream educational settings and working with exceptional students.
Applicants must have official high school transcript(s) or GED test score report.
Test scores: Internet Based TOEFL (iBT) - 79 or higher; IELTS with a score of at least 6.5 or higher; British O-Level English Language Exam with a Grade of A or B on Ordinary Level of GCE/GCSE/IGCSE. PNW Undergraduate Admissions accepts a 100-110 Duolingo English Test score band.
