Important: All new engineering students begin with the First-Year Engineering Program. Admission to their selected engineering school requires fulfilling the First-Year Engineering criteria. This student-focused service initiative aims to guide, educate, and maintain exceptional students within Purdue's College of Engineering. The foundational curriculum covers mathematics, chemistry, physics, coding, communication abilities, and introductory engineering classes conducted in the innovative Ideas to Innovation (i2i) Learning Laboratory. Through the First-Year Engineering Program, students gain a solid groundwork and preliminary insight into engineering and vocational possibilities, helping them determine the most suitable engineering specialization at Purdue. Our team of expert academic counselors, professors, and peer mentors is committed to supporting new engineers throughout their initial year.
