The mechanical engineering curriculum offers education in fundamental sciences along with engineering design and analysis. In their third and fourth years, students can select from a wide range of elective courses to align their skills and interests with career goals. Accredited programs must include at least one year of mathematics and basic sciences, one and a half years of engineering science and design, and half a year of humanities and social sciences.
