The Biomedical Engineering program holds accreditation from ABET's Engineering Accreditation Commission.
Biomedical Engineering students acquire skills to utilize engineering and biological science methodologies for developing solutions to problems in healthcare, medicine, and human biology.
The curriculum combines mathematics, physics, chemistry, and life sciences with engineering fundamentals and design classes, enabling students to grasp human tissue properties, computational analysis, molecular dynamics, biomechanics, physiology, and medical devices. Hands-on training encompasses problem-solving in small groups, international study opportunities, internships with healthcare organizations, laboratory research, and design projects addressing actual clinical challenges.
