Students in agricultural education blend their passion for farming with a commitment to helping others. The program equips them to instruct agricultural science, business, and similar topics at middle schools, high schools, or universities. Graduates may also find opportunities in agricultural support sectors. Both Indiana and the broader U.S. face significant shortages of qualified agricultural science and business educators.
This curriculum aligns with state and national certification requirements and holds accreditation from both the Council for the Accreditation of Educator Preparation (CAEP) and Indiana's State Board of Education. Enrollment in and satisfactory completion of the Teacher Education Program (TEP) are mandatory.
