The Women's, Gender, and Sexuality Studies program critically analyzes the historical and societal frameworks surrounding concepts of masculinity and femininity, while exploring gender identities beyond this binary. This major enables students to thoroughly investigate sexual politics and challenge discriminatory systems that marginalize those who diverge from heteronormative expectations.

Through Women's, Gender, and Sexuality Studies, students can engage with feminist issues, advocate for equal rights across all gender expressions and sexual orientations, and foster academic research aligned with these fundamental principles.

Like all liberal arts disciplines, this major develops essential leadership competencies: effective communication, interpersonal awareness, analytical reasoning, solution-oriented thinking, and synthesizing multifaceted concepts.
