Classical Studies delves into interconnected fields aimed at comprehensively examining the ancient Greek and Roman civilizations, including their languages (classical Greek and Latin), philosophy, art, archaeology, and mythology. This discipline encompasses foundational European literary works like Homer's Iliad and Odyssey. A holistic classical studies curriculum covers not just ancient literature and linguistics, but also their historical, philosophical, artistic, and archaeological contexts. Graduates emerge as critically thinking, globally aware individuals.
Students can tailor their studies through three specialized tracks focusing on classical languages (Latin and ancient Greek), literature and culture, or material culture and history.
Like all liberal arts degrees, this program equips students with essential management skills: effective communication, interpersonal insight, creative problem-solving, and the ability to synthesize complex concepts.
