The Pre-Physician Assistant concentration equips students to deliver diagnostic, therapeutic, and preventive medical care. Learners acquire hands-on clinical exposure by observing healthcare providers or completing internships.
Our curriculum is structured to provide students with essential knowledge, competencies, and practical training for their path to becoming certified physician assistants.
This preparatory program offers the required academic foundation and professional readiness for aspiring physician assistants. Students develop comprehensive understanding of core sciences and specialized PA methodologies.
Most PA school admissions expect candidates to possess relevant medical experience, like serving as a clinical assistant or EMT. Standard graduate-level PA programs span approximately 24 months, combining didactic education with supervised clinical practice.
State licensure is mandatory for PA practice, with regulations differing across jurisdictions. Common prerequisites include passing the PANCE examination and fulfilling ongoing educational obligations.
High School Academic Records: A minimum GPA (grade point average) of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale (or equivalent) in high school and have earned a high school diploma.
International College/University Academic Records: A minimum GPA of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale (or equivalent) in an accredited international post-secondary institution (college/university).
U.S. College/University Academic Records: A minimum GPA of 2.0 on a 4.0 scale (or equivalent) if transferring from an accredited U.S. college with at least 24 credit hours (approximately one year of college work).
English Language Requirement:
TOEFL score of at least 68 (iBT) is required. In addition, a minimum score of 15 is required in each section (internet).
IELTS: Overall score of 6.0 with a minimum score of 5.0. in each band of the IELTS is required. If a lower score is earned in any of the five band scores, the overall score cannot be accepted.
PTE: Overall score of 47.
Application Deadline: Fall Semester – June 1st, Spring Semester – October 15th.
