The Master of Dispute Resolution and Master of Public Policy (MDR/MPP) is a collaborative degree offered by the School of Public Policy and the Straus Institute for Dispute Resolution at the School of Law. This combined program consists of 82 credit hours: 26 in dispute resolution coursework and 56 in public policy studies. Typically, pursuing an MDR and MPP independently would demand 32 and 64 credits respectively, totaling 96 credits. Through strategic scheduling, MPP candidates can fulfill their MDR requirements during summer sessions or winter intensive terms before, during, or after the two-year MPP curriculum. Prospective students must apply and gain acceptance to both the School of Public Policy and the Straus Institute for Dispute Resolution. The admission criteria for the dual degree mirror those of the individual MDR and MPP programs.
Master of Dispute Resolution programs require a Bachelor's degree (or equivalent).
International applicants are required to demonstrate English proficiency via the TOEFL, IELTS, or Duolingo English Test
