This one-year master's program in Education Policy readies students for roles in research, assessment, and policy analysis within the education sector. The curriculum provides methodological expertise and substantive knowledge to analyze, develop, and implement educational initiatives affecting learners and communities globally, spanning early childhood through K-12 and higher education. The M.S.Ed. in Education Policy requires completion of 10 course units, including an Education Policy Research Practicum, with three elective options enabling customization based on individual professional aspirations and academic interests.
Admission to Penn GSE requires satisfactory completion of a baccalaureate degree from an accredited U.S. university or its equivalent prior to your matriculation into any program.
A strong command of the English language is necessary for successful study at Penn. Applicants whose families do not speak English at home, or applicants who have not attended a high school or secondary school where the primary language of instruction is English, are asked to take the TOEFL, the Test of English as a Foreign Language, administered by the Educational Testing Service. In the event the TOEFL is not readily accessible, Penn will accept results from the IELTS, the International English Language Testing System.
