The Clinical Psychology Doctor of Psychology program equips students to become licensed psychologists, enabling them to provide professional clinical services in their communities. This APA-accredited program maintains its accreditation through 2027.
Pepperdine University's doctoral training follows the practitioner-scholar approach, integrating academic study, clinical experience, and research. The demanding curriculum includes three years of clinical coursework and supervised practice, a one-year internship, and a clinical dissertation. Following postdoctoral training, graduates qualify to pursue psychologist licensure across the U.S. and Canada.
Duration: 4 years / 82 units
All applicants must have a master's degree from a regionally accredited college or university in psychology or a closely related field. If you are currently pursuing your master's degree, you can apply for the program so long as your degree will be posted before the doctoral program begins in the fall.
We ask that candidates have a 3.0 cumulative GPA from both their master's and baccalaureate programs;
International applicants whose native language is not English are required to submit a minimum passing score of 550 on the Test of English as Foreign Language (TOEFL). The computer-based TOEFL test requires a minimum passing score of 80.
As an alternative to the TOEFL, you may submit a score of at least 6.5 on the IELTS exam.
