Applied Behavior Analysis is a scientific field that applies learning principles to develop, execute, and assess techniques for meaningful behavioral improvements. This discipline spans diverse areas such as developmental disabilities, behavioral health, education systems, non-profit sectors, with a strong focus on delivering interventions backed by research evidence. Students can collaborate with faculty specializing in experimental, theoretical, and practical behavior analysis.
During their initial two years, ABA PhD candidates follow a curriculum fulfilling the Board Certified Behavior Analyst exam prerequisites. They subsequently undertake a master's thesis under faculty guidance while gaining hands-on practicum experience.
After completing their master's, students further enhance their applied skills through advanced practicum work and research, undertake higher-level courses, and ultimately develop, execute, and defend their doctoral dissertation.
