The Sport Administration program at Seaver College offers an interdisciplinary approach, equipping students with comprehensive knowledge where sports, business, communication, and leadership converge, readying them for careers in the sports sector. Emphasis is placed on translating classroom theories into real-world applications, enabling students to implement academic concepts in their professional sports careers. To facilitate this, the program collaborates with local and national sports organizations, leagues, nonprofits, and businesses, offering students hands-on coursework that addresses current industry challenges.
Early in their studies, students acquire practical experience through an immersive internship with Pepperdine University's athletics department. With a senior internship, capstone project, and regular industry events, Sport Administration students enjoy exceptional opportunities to interact with leading professionals, developing a thorough grasp of industry dynamics. A distinctive feature of Seaver College's curriculum is that all faculty members bring extensive real-world experience from professional sports, collegiate athletics, and sports media.
Our program empowers students to leverage their in-depth understanding of sports industry fundamentals to address challenges or pursue careers aligned with their personal goals. What sets Pepperdine University's Sport Administration apart is its blend of sports, business, communication, and leadership education, combined with frequent interactions with top-tier industry experts.
