The Inclusive Physical Activity in Communities (IPAC) concentration equips students for careers in community-based settings, focusing on serving special needs groups like people with disabilities and seniors. This program also offers foundational undergraduate training for those pursuing a Master's in Occupational Therapy (refer to the note following the course requirements). The IPAC program develops specialized expertise for delivering physical activity services to diverse populations, including those with disabilities and elderly individuals. Students gain skills in designing, implementing, and evaluating inclusive physical activity programs for all age groups. The IPAC curriculum prepares graduates for work in multiple sectors such as: early childhood programs, senior fitness initiatives in recreational or care facilities, spinal cord injury rehab centers, aquatic centers, summer camps, gyms and wellness clubs, adaptive sports organizations, and community transition programs.
