The philosophy program at Seaver College provides students with comprehensive training in both classical and modern philosophical investigations across diverse aspects of human existence. This includes studying theories of knowledge and existence, ethical principles and moral frameworks, as well as differentiating between sound arguments and logical fallacies. Our curriculum engages with influential works from prominent philosophers throughout history, spanning ancient times to the present day.
Philosophy critically analyzes the core beliefs and challenges underlying human understanding, evaluates these foundational concepts, and strives to develop and justify enhanced alternatives. Consequently, our philosophy degree equips graduates with essential intellectual tools for professional paths in numerous sectors such as legal practice, media, public administration, nonprofit work, and corporate environments.
