Mastering the craft of writing is a sought-after professional skill. Those pursuing Seaver College's creative writing degree embark on careers as writers and editors across various sectors, including publishing houses, periodicals, corporate environments, government institutions, and artistic fields. For thirty years, creative writing has played a fundamental role in Pepperdine University's literary arts scene. Currently, our creative writing initiative serves as the hub of a vibrant campus community, with Pepperdine standing among the elite institutions offering a Bachelor of Arts in Creative Writing.
Our creative writing curriculum caters to aspiring professional authors. Through our structured program, students refine their abilities in fiction, poetry, and screenwriting. Furthermore, participants enhance their communication and analytical capabilities while cultivating a professional approach to their craft.

International first-year applicants must submit proof of English proficiency, which may be demonstrated by one of the following:
IELTS Overall Band score of at least 6.5
TOEFL iBT score of at least 80
