Students pursuing an M.S. degree will gain comprehensive understanding of food science through core coursework. They'll cultivate independent learning skills by identifying, locating, and utilizing relevant resources. Our program fosters decision-making abilities grounded in acquired knowledge. Students will tackle research challenges through systematic experimentation, culminating in a completed M.S. thesis. The thesis research should meet publication standards and be presented at minimum through one scientific conference presentation or poster session.
Students with a 3.00 junior/senior average (on a 4.00 scale) will be considered for admission to the program. Exceptions may be made at the discretion of the program for students.
