The DESIGN graduate program in Engineering Design shapes tomorrow's innovators. It blends engineering disciplines with design principles, business, psychology, and arts through hands-on projects. Graduate students acquire both specialized knowledge and broad capabilities to address challenges involving products, systems, processes, and services. Each degree program enables students to refine comprehensive design abilities while accumulating real-world experience in studio settings. Both programs allow for examining engineering problems through diverse, situation-specific perspectives from start to finish - cultivating expert designers.
Applicants with at least a 3.00 junior/senior grade-point average (on a 4.00 scale) and appropriate course backgrounds may be considered for admission. Exceptions to the minimum 3.00 grade-point average may be made for students with special backgrounds, abilities, and interests.
English Proficiency: TOEFL Internet-based test (iBT) - a total score of 80 with a 19 on the speaking section for the internet-based test (iBT); TOEFL Paper-based test - the minimum acceptable score is 550; IELTS - The minimum acceptable composite score for the IELTS Academic Test is 6.5.
