Penn State's Workforce Education and Development (WFED) program aims to foster excellence, create opportunities, and cultivate leadership for professionals in workforce education and development. This includes individuals working in secondary and postsecondary schools, social services, labor organizations, and corporate settings.
The program's faculty work to maintain an efficient, high-quality curriculum that achieves national recognition for academic rigor, leadership development, and career readiness.
Doctoral candidates can specialize in one of three focus areas: human resource development/organizational development, school-to-work transitions, or secondary career and technical education leadership. Master's students have these same options, along with an additional specialization path for teacher certification.
