The Low-Incidence Disabilities Transcript Certificate equips special education professionals and their partners in associated disciplines (including Counseling, Curriculum and Instruction, Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education, Educational Leadership, Psychology, Reading, and Secondary Education) with essential collaboration skills for delivering research-backed interventions to students with low-incidence disabilities.
Through three specialized courses, participants will develop expertise in delivering exceptional instruction by applying universal design principles, assistive technologies, developmentally appropriate practices, and ensuring access to both academic and extracurricular content. Graduates will gain the skills to enhance self-sufficiency in students with severe/multiple disabilities, autism spectrum disorders, traumatic brain injuries, and other conditions demanding highly personalized support.
