The Low-Incidence Disabilities Transcript Certificate equips special education professionals and their partners in associated disciplines (including Counseling, Curriculum and Instruction, Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education, Educational Leadership, Psychology, Reading, and Secondary Education) with essential collaboration skills for delivering research-backed interventions to students with low-incidence disabilities.
Through three specialized courses, participants will develop expertise in delivering exceptional instruction by applying universal design principles, assistive technologies, developmentally appropriate practices, and ensuring access to both academic and extracurricular content. Graduates will gain the skills to enhance self-sufficiency in students with severe/multiple disabilities, autism spectrum disorders, traumatic brain injuries, and other conditions demanding highly personalized support.

Qualification Requirements

Students may apply for the certificate only. The student must have a 3.0 GPA and complete an essay. Candidates are selected based mainly on the strength of the essay and GPA.
Official transcripts from all undergraduate and graduate course work taken at any accredited college or University attended (Foreign College credits/transcripts require an official foreign evaluation).
Official TOEFL score minimum paper-based score of 550 or internet-based score of 79-80
