You'll acquire hands-on training in advanced breeding approaches, seed science, insect studies, weed control strategies, and other vital areas.

The Crop and Soil Sciences Department collaborates with farmers statewide and nationally to address agricultural obstacles ranging from invasive species to irrigation innovations. We aim to enhance the secure, eco-friendly cultivation of food crops for both human and livestock consumption, alongside developing bioenergy crops to meet tomorrow's power demands.

Qualification Requirements

After you have identified a suitable mentor within the Crop Science graduate faculty and secured funding, submit your application to the Graduate School
Taking the GRE may be required by your major advisor, however there is no program-specified minimum score
Provide 3 letters of reference
If you are a non-native English speaker and have not completed another degree in the US, you must provide evidence of English proficiency. OSU accepts several English language test scores, the most common of which are TOEFL and IELTS. Proficiency requirements are TOEFL: 550, TOEFL iBT: 80, IELTS: 6.5
