Biophysical Kinesiology
Covers specialized areas including biomechanics, exercise physiology, and motor control.
Students typically conduct research in these facilities: Biomechanics Lab, Human Performance Center, Physical Activity and Public Health Lab, Translational Metabolism Research Lab, or Sports Injury Prevention Research Group.
Psychosocial Kinesiology
Focuses on disciplines like motor development, sports psychology, and the sociology of sports.
Research for this concentration usually occurs in these settings: Children & Youth with Disabilities Lab, Physical Activity and Public Health Lab, Psychosocial Physical Activity Lab (2PLAY), Social Mobility Lab, or Sport and Exercise Psychology Lab.
