The Department of Civil and Construction Engineering provides three advanced degree options: the Master of Engineering (MEng), Master of Science in Civil Engineering (M.S.), and Doctorate in Civil Engineering (Ph.D.). Learners can concentrate their studies across various civil engineering disciplines while utilizing dedicated research facilities.

Oregon State University's Water Resources Engineering graduate program focuses on cross-disciplinary studies addressing contemporary challenges like environmental hydraulics risks (including floods and geyser flows), hydroinformatics, watershed management, sustainable water solutions, and climate adaptation strategies. The curriculum cultivates expertise in fundamental engineering concepts, technical evaluation, project planning, infrastructure design, and resource management. Our objective is to empower students to explore research areas that transcend conventional water engineering boundaries, equipping them for prominent roles in academic, corporate, and government settings.

The Department provides three postgraduate qualifications: Master of Engineering (MEng), Master of Science in Civil Engineering (M.S.), and Doctorate in Civil Engineering (Ph.D.). Students may specialize in seven distinct civil engineering fields while accessing specialized laboratory resources. Each specialization area maintains unique criteria for degree completion. Through progressive teaching approaches, the School of Civil and Construction Engineering develops tomorrow's pioneers in architectural, civil, and construction engineering. Dedicated to knowledge advancement, the institution promotes the creation of secure, durable, and eco-conscious infrastructure.

Civil engineering encompasses planning, building, and sustaining public infrastructure such as transportation networks, structural systems, and coastal developments. Oregon State University's civil engineering curricula equip students for professional practice and academic investigation of civil engineering challenges. Graduates qualify to take the National Fundamentals of Engineering (F.E.) exam, while those completing supplementary surveying/geomatics coursework may also sit for Oregon's Fundamentals of Surveying (F.S.) test - initial requirements for Professional Engineer or Surveyor licensure.
