The Department of Structural Engineering provides graduate programs for both Master of Science (M.S.) and Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degrees in Structural Engineering (SE). Qualification Requirements

Admission to the UCSD graduate division requires at least a B.S. degree in engineering, physical sciences, or mathematics with at least a B average (3.0 GPA) or its equivalent by the time they enroll. Some exceptional applicants with lower GPAs may be recommended for admission. The university-wide minimum IELTS Academic Training exam score required for consideration for graduate admission is Band Score 7.
The University requires a minimum GPA of 3.0 or above on a 4.0 scale (or equivalent).
