Students enrolled in the Merchandising Management program train for diverse roles focused on analyzing, strategizing, and implementing product and service selections tailored to consumer needs. Alumni of this program pursue careers with apparel, footwear, and hardgoods manufacturers as merchandisers helping retailers curate product lines, as product development specialists collaborating with buyers and designers, as forecasting analysts estimating seasonal production needs, and as product creation assistants. Others join retail organizations as purchasing agents and inventory strategists determining optimal product quantities and selections, as category managers coordinating between procurement and design teams, as visual merchandisers, and as retail operations supervisors.
