An undergraduate degree in Environmental Sciences delivers a comprehensive education that equips students to tackle pressing scientific and policy challenges, such as climate change, pollution, biodiversity conservation, sustainability, and responsible resource management. The Bachelor of Science in Environmental Sciences adopts an interdisciplinary framework to address environmental issues. As part of this major, students engage with coursework across four key domains:
OSU's foundational baccalaureate core curriculum
Essential science and mathematics
Core environmental sciences and humanities
A focused specialization track
Additionally, students fulfill at least 3 credits of hands-on learning through internships, research, study abroad programs, or field courses. This BS degree prepares graduates for diverse career paths, including roles in government agencies, private industry, non-profit organizations, education, or advanced academic studies. The program is available at OSU's Corvallis campus, online via Ecampus, and at the OSU-Cascades location.
