The OCC AA-T Music Degree will offer students a more specific route to transfer that guarantees their admission to a CSU campus. Completion of this degree option will also grant students priority admission as a music major to our local CSU campuses, Fullerton and Long. All major course requirements are aligned with the Transfer Model Curriculum for Music. They are also all transferable to the California State University as well as to most other universities. Courses are designed to prepare students for transfer into bachelor’s degree programs in Music at universities both inside and outside the CSU, giving students further options as needed.

Our curriculum is student and community centered with a commitment to developing skills, challenging the intellect, and strengthening character as we prepare students for transfer and workplace development. The faculty and staff are dedicated to providing a quality education, to promoting creativity, innovation and academic excellence within a safe and supportive environment.
Submission of academic transcripts are required to determine-
Proof of English Proficiency.
Proof of high school completion for minor students entering OCC under 18 years of age.
Submit copies of your academic transcript with your admissions application for review. This may include high school or secondary school transcripts, university or college transcripts, or transcripts from an ESL program.
Academic transcripts do NOT need to be translated in English or mailed or received by the institution you attended for admissions review. However, this may be requested by the admission staff after the initial review of your application and application documents.
REVIEW OF HIGH SCHOOL OR UNIVERSITY TRANSCRIPT
Review of academic transcripts to determine if the primary language of instruction of a student's school (high school/secondary school or university or college is English.
If English was not the primary language of instruction of an applicant's previous school (high school/secondary school or university or college), then the applicant must meet the English proficiency by ONE of the following-
IELTS - overall score of 5.5.
TOEFL - (IBT) - overall score 61.
TOEFL-(PBT) - 500
