The music program equips students with the skills to excel as professional musicians, music teachers, and skilled performers, fostering both technical abilities and musical understanding. This specialization supports students aiming for advanced performance degrees through intensified study with their principal voice coach, along with coursework in vocal techniques and pronunciation.
Our alumni exhibit mastery of music's fundamental structures and can apply this knowledge through auditory, verbal, written, and visual interpretation. They gain familiarity with music history, global performance traditions, and contemporary repertoires. Graduates can blend music theory with historical context when arranging compositions, creating original works, or improvising, utilizing digital tools to enhance their learning of theoretical principles, arrangement techniques, and performance abilities while developing comprehensive musical expertise.
