Important notice for Washington State students from the Student Achievement Council (SAC) regarding the Master of Science in Education-Special Education: Initial educator certification in Washington requires completion of a state-approved preparation program. While this Virginia-approved program is authorized for Washington field placements by the Professional Educators Standards Board, certification applications from Washington residents will be processed as out-of-state candidates.
