The Master of Science program in Inclusive Special Education (Severe/Multiple Disabilities) equips graduates to support students with intensive needs across various educational environments.
Offered through the Department of Teaching & Leadership, this program combines academic instruction, research opportunities, and practical fieldwork focused on serving diverse learners with severe disabilities in inclusive classrooms. Students develop skills in professional collaboration, family engagement, and adaptive technology implementation. The curriculum fulfills New York State's certification requirements for Severe or Multiple Disabilities (candidates must already hold initial certification in Students with Disabilities at any grade level).
Students can earn their degree in one year of full-time enrollment or pursue part-time options, with evening, late afternoon, and summer course offerings designed for working educators.
