Select from four specialized tracks aligned with professional aspirations: human nutrition/pre-medical studies, allied health professions, dietetics, or public health nutrition. Engage in a research-driven curriculum offering practical preparation for healthcare careers. Alumni often advance to medical training, biological research, or dietetic programs, while others enter healthcare fields as physician assistants or physical therapists.
Public Health Nutrition
Examine health's social foundations through nutritional science, exploring connections between diet, environment, behavior, and wellbeing. Develop skills for delivering nutrition education and managing programs as a food policy expert, community health coordinator, wellness administrator, or public health nutritionist. The program blends scientific rigor with human-centered coursework including chemistry, physiology, sociology, psychology, health assessment, nutritional counseling, and community health. This pathway also qualifies graduates for OSU's Master of Public Health program.
