Students pursuing Nutritional Sciences (NUSC) explore the connections between diet and wellbeing. They combine understanding of how cells, individuals, and populations utilize food components to enhance health and manage illnesses. The program provides three specialization paths: Nutrition, Health, and Disease Prevention; Didactic Program in Dietetics (DPD); and Pre-Medical Studies, leading to a Bachelor of Science in Nutritional Sciences.
The Nutrition, Health, and Disease Prevention concentration covers fundamental science prerequisites for nutritional studies alongside core nutrition classes, while allowing flexibility for students to pursue additional coursework in their chosen focus areas.
