The communication sciences and disorders program provides comprehensive training in speech, language, and hearing processes, along with foundational knowledge about communication disorders to prepare students for graduate studies. This program delivers a thorough pre-professional foundation for careers in speech-language pathology and audiology. Our coursework equips students to pursue graduate education while also qualifying them for roles like speech-language pathology assistants or audiology assistants.

First-year, second-year, and third-year students can observe therapy sessions, while seniors obtain hands-on clinical practice.
Students participate in research projects at the Phon Farm, Motor Speech Lab, Sociophonetics Lab, and Language Learning Lab.
Options to study American Sign Language, manually coded English, and finger spelling are available.
Courses in Deaf Education and Deaf Culture are offered to broaden understanding.
