The Department of Food, Agricultural and Biological Engineering provides a Master of Science program in these specialized engineering fields. Learners collaborate with renowned scientists and investigators across diverse areas such as environmental engineering, farm water resource management, and renewable bioenergy. With an exceptional faculty-to-student ratio of about 1:6, participants benefit from individualized attention and can customize their curriculum to align with their professional aspirations. Each student develops a personalized academic roadmap with faculty guidance, incorporating interdisciplinary courses from throughout the university. The program offers two distinct master's pathways: a research-intensive thesis track (Plan A) requiring at least 30 credits, or a coursework-focused non-thesis alternative (Plan B) needing 33 credits, often preferred by working professionals.
