The Master of Public Health (MPH) serves as the principal professional qualification globally acknowledged for careers in public health, spanning both government roles and growing private sector opportunities focused on community well-being. Ohio State University delivers the MPH program through two distinct pathways: a conventional weekday schedule and an adaptable part-time option tailored for working professionals seeking career growth in public health. The standard MPH program requires completing 45-48 credit hours distributed across five educational components: Foundational public health coursework, Specialization-specific requirements, Approved electives within the chosen concentration, Practical fieldwork, and a Final capstone project.
A baccalaureate or professional degree (or equivalent foreign credential) from an accredited college or university, earned by the expected date of entry into your graduate program. A minimum of a 3.0 cumulative GPA (on a 4.0 scale) in all prior undergraduate and graduate work.
