The Ohio State University's Department of Art provides a prestigious, nationally acclaimed MFA program with global recognition. Our department brings together talented professional artists, devoted faculty members, experienced staff, and motivated students, all focused on education, research, and community engagement. Our distinguished faculty enhance cultural experiences across the university, city, state, country, and globe through innovative research, exhibitions, public presentations, and professional endeavors. The Department of Art at Ohio State guides undergraduate and graduate students in becoming independent artists through seven specialized disciplines: Ceramics, Glass, Painting/Drawing, Photography, Printmaking, Art and Technology, and Sculpture. We promote cross-disciplinary collaboration through exhibitions, research initiatives, funded projects, exchange programs, and special events. Highlights include yearly faculty exhibitions and presentations showcasing research accomplishments.
A baccalaureate or professional degree (or equivalent foreign credential) from an accredited college or university, earned by the expected date of entry into your graduate program. A minimum of a 3.0 cumulative GPA (on a 4.0 scale) in all prior undergraduate and graduate work.
