The Master of Arts program in Near Eastern Languages and Cultures (NELC) provides opportunities to explore some of the globe's most linguistically and culturally diverse regions, covering modern languages like Arabic, Hebrew, Persian, and Turkish alongside ancient tongues such as Aramaic, Biblical Hebrew, and Ugaritic. With a curriculum that balances academic rigor with adaptability, the program equips graduates for careers in education, government, or business, while also laying the foundation for doctoral research focused on the evolving societies of the Near East through NELC language studies.
