For over six decades, Ohio State's Doctor of Physical Therapy program has excelled in training students for rewarding PT careers, ranking among the nation's top programs. Our expert faculty, cutting-edge medical facilities, and strong alumni network enhance the program's exceptional value. Licensed physical therapists can advance their skills through our comprehensive post-professional education options, including five clinical residency programs in partnership with OSU Wexner Medical Center and local healthcare providers. These specialized residencies cover Orthopaedic, Neurologic, Pediatric, Geriatric, Sports, and Women's Health disciplines. For further career advancement, we offer clinical fellowships in Orthopaedic Manual Therapy, Performing Arts Medicine, and Upper Extremity Rehabilitation. The physical therapy field is projected to expand dramatically, with a 34% job growth anticipated by 2024, driven by an aging yet active baby boomer population and rising cases of diabetes- and obesity-related mobility challenges. In 2015, physical therapists earned a median annual salary exceeding $84,000.
