The Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) is a clinical degree earned after completing undergraduate studies, qualifying graduates to practice as physical therapists. This intensive three-year program, which runs through two summers, holds full accreditation from the Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education (CAPTE). Students pursue their studies full-time, progressing through the curriculum together as a group. The curriculum provides comprehensive training in both fundamental and applied sciences related to physical therapy, equipping students to comprehend, connect, and implement theoretical knowledge in clinical settings. Through thoughtful clinical judgment and ongoing self-evaluation, students develop the skills for continuous professional growth while attaining essential clinical competencies. The program also includes mandatory full-time clinical placements in the final two years alongside classroom instruction.
