The Management and Human Resources PhD program aims to cultivate exceptional researchers in management, offering specializations in entrepreneurship, HR, international business, organizational behavior, and strategic management. The International Business (IB) track equips students to grasp the discipline's theoretical foundations, trace its historical evolution, and establish a robust base for ongoing IB research. Unlike other business fields, IB is inherently interdisciplinary, incorporating insights from economics, sociology, anthropology, psychology, and political science. IB scholars gain substantial advantages from exploring these diverse perspectives. However, IB maintains distinct research questions, methodologies, and domains that set it apart from these disciplines. Fundamentally, IB examines how and why business operations vary across nations and explores the implications of these variations for both multinational corporations and local enterprises.
