The Biophysics Graduate Program educates students in applying quantitative scientific approaches to study biological systems. Specifically, this involves utilizing physics along with related disciplines like physical chemistry, electrical engineering, mathematics, and computer science to investigate fundamental biological questions. The program features an adaptable curriculum suitable for diverse undergraduate backgrounds. Participants engage directly in innovative research while building core expertise across key disciplines: Biochemistry, Biology, Chemistry, and Physics. We welcome students holding bachelor's degrees from various STEM fields. Spanning six colleges, the program brings together 80 faculty members across 33 academic departments.
A baccalaureate or professional degree (or equivalent foreign credential) from an accredited college or university, earned by the expected date of entry into your graduate program. A minimum of a 3.0 cumulative GPA (on a 4.0 scale) in all prior undergraduate and graduate work.
