The Physics of Living Systems, also known as Biological Physics, explores life's physical processes across scales from molecules to whole organisms. Key research topics encompass biomembrane architecture, energy landscape principles in protein dynamics, biopolymer networks, chromatin structure and activity, genetic regulatory systems, cancer mechanisms, and single-molecule/cellular interactions. Rice University houses the NSF-funded Center for Theoretical Biophysics, a Physics Frontier Center investigating fundamental questions like genome physics and cellular process mechanics.

Qualification Requirements
