The Anthropology Department provides both MA and PhD programs. With 19 faculty members specializing in archaeology, biological anthropology, and cultural anthropology, we foster cutting-edge research. Our graduate program aims to cultivate field leaders through intensive theoretical training and practical application, equipping students with advanced methodological skills to push disciplinary boundaries. Students benefit from close faculty mentorship, including fieldwork opportunities at global research sites. This rigorous preparation yields outstanding outcomes, with 78% of PhD graduates obtaining academic positions. Faculty research spans past and present human and primate populations, exploring key themes like migration patterns, life history theory, biocultural health perspectives, and human-environment dynamics through political ecology and systems analysis.
