The Education Specialist Degree (Ed.S.) in K-12 Leadership is a 34-credit, cohort-based program for post-master's students pursuing careers in educational administration. This curriculum bridges theory and practice by addressing real-world leadership challenges and contemporary K-12 education issues. The Ed.S. leadership program spans 18 or 22 months, with all 34 credits completed within the cohort structure. Classes typically meet once weekly during fall and winter semesters, while the 2-credit research courses occur on designated Saturdays. Summer sessions involve twice-weekly meetings for 4-credit courses. Action research projects launch in the third semester, concluding with cohort teams presenting their findings at the Annual Graduate Research Symposium.
