Qualification Requirements
The Paralegal Certificate Program is open to any student who has successfully completed an undergraduate (BS or BA) degree, and focuses on the skills you will need to become a legal professional, assisting attorneys at public or private law practices. Here's how the program works:
Complete 30 credits of paralegal studies courses.
Submit a paralegal portfolio at an exit interview with the program coordinator upon successful completion of the coursework.
Online Paralegal Studies (ULAW) courses require proctored exams at approved sites.
The American Bar Association requires that a minimum of 9 credits of coursework be taken in a synchronous format (online, but at the same time as the on-campus course).
Foreign nationals who reside outside the U.S. at the time of application, and whose native language is not English, must present evidence of proficiency in English by satisfactorily completing the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) with a minimum score of 600. IELTS 6.0
