Alumni graduate with comprehensive knowledge of media writing, hands-on experience with production methods and tools, and insight into the fundamental storytelling principles that unite all narrative media.
While emphasizing writing and narrative craft, the program incorporates practical production elements. Students gain experience creating their own projects both on campus and through partnerships with Chicago-area theater and film organizations. Additional opportunities include internships and specialized courses in Hollywood, New York, and Chicago.
Bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited institution (or international equivalent) is required.
