The Master of Fine Arts in Documentary Media is a specialized degree designed to equip students with the expertise required to produce impactful documentaries and media projects employing documentary approaches.
This interdisciplinary program fosters collaboration across various fields, styles, and storytelling formats. It prepares graduates with versatile abilities to craft significant narratives and explore both artistic and career possibilities.
Students will create innovative projects, utilize storytelling methods in documentary contexts, and implement documentary strategies in narrative or experimental media works. Throughout this two-year curriculum, participants will learn, collaborate, and evolve together, building a tight artistic network.
Bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited institution (or international equivalent) is required.
The minimum score for the MFA is 600 paper / 250 computer / 100 Internet based for the TOEFL and 7.0 for the IELTS.
Non native MFA applicants wishing to be considered for appointment as a teaching assistant must submit a minimum score of 50 on the Test of Spoken English (TSE) or 26 on the TOEFL speaking section, taken no more than two years before consideration for appointment. The TSE is not required for admission.
