We serve as the hub for the International Studies adjunct major and minor programs. These enable students to follow an integrated curriculum that explores global dimensions of their primary field of study. The programs consist of foundational courses complemented by specialized regional and thematic electives. Students can also participate in capstone seminars where IS majors undertake independent research initiatives.
Our weekly Global Café series features an array of events such as intimate discussions with field experts, grant-writing workshops, guest lectures on current topics, and additional opportunities.
Faculty members come from various departments across the university, offering the broadest range of academic viewpoints and specialized knowledge.
The International Studies alumni community ranks as one of Northwestern's most extensive, with graduates working globally in government, social advocacy, international institutions, creative fields, and corporate environments.
