This program provides students with comprehensive knowledge of diplomatic history and conflict resolution, acquaints them with key domestic players and organizations shaping foreign policy, and exposes them to global institutions, non-state actors, and international legal frameworks. Participants will develop expertise in America's role within global diplomatic spheres.
Graduates from this program qualify for careers in federal institutions including the State Department, Pentagon, intelligence agencies, Peace Corps, and US aid programs. They're equally prepared for roles in international bodies like the UN, OAS, or US agencies collaborating with the European Union. Additionally, students may pursue opportunities with global NGOs such as Greenpeace and Amnesty International. The program also prepares graduates for positions in research institutions and private sector firms (including energy corporations in the Gulf Coast region) that analyze risks for multinational enterprises expanding overseas.
