URS) program equips students with the analytical perspective, expertise, and practical abilities to comprehend cities in their full complexity, vibrancy, and magnificence while tackling modern urban challenges. With its intimate scale (approximately 25-30 annual graduates), the program fosters close collaboration between students and faculty. United by scholarly pursuits, professors and students engage in mutual learning both during coursework and beyond. URS courses explore how diverse socioeconomic factors transform urban landscapes, examine the real-world implications of these shifts, and investigate collaborative approaches for creating thriving, eco-friendly, secure, dynamic, and habitable communities through partnerships between residents, organizations, and urban planners.
